Over the years, I’ve used Word to convert between simplified and traditional. I recently updated my computer and since then the convert button has disappeared from my toolbar. For my own future reference this is how I troubleshooted the problem:
- Ensure all the Chinese language packs are installed
- Windows Button
- “Word Options”
- Go to the “Add-ins”
- Check it’s displayed
The only minor thing is that the options now appear right at the top of the page, not on the proofing ribbon, but right along the top. I keep forgetting they are there! But they are there anyway. So that’s good. This blog article will help me remember next time it happens.
