I’m quite exciting about my upcoming job for Leeds University. I will be teaching a practical translation module. I’ve done similar things in the past, so I’m confident about it, and it’s going to be a “gateway to the north” for me. I will take the opportunity to visit a Northern town every time I go up there.
So I did plan to go to Whitby for my first visit after the class, but sadly I had a COVID contact, so I’ve decided to do the session online.
That’s mildly frustrating because I had already prepared lots of fun things to do in Whitby, and booked all the various tickets in advance. Luckily I was able to cancel them in time and get my money back.
The sessions I’m teaching are mainly on business and financial translation.
